Phnom Penh Crown Football Club (PPCFC) might want to express its great dissatisfaction in light of the choice of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) to decline the affirmation of PPCFC into the AFC Cup 2017 Playoff Qualifiers, which will happen in August 2016.

PPCFC were assigned by the Football Federation of Cambodia (FFC) as Cambodia's participant into the AFC Cup, as 2015 Metfone Cambodian League Champions. On 25 May 2016 in a letter to FFC, the AFC verified that under Article 73.6 of the AFC Statutes that any club required in any movement went for organizing or impacting the result of a match can be declined admission to an AFC rivalry. The AFC cited the choice of the FFC Disciplinary Committee dated 29 Jan 2016 which endorsed 4 authorities partnered with PPCFC for offenses identifying with match-control, as their motivation to reject affirmation of PPCFC. On 8 November 2015, PPCFC had suspended the 4 authorities, subsequent to leading its own particular examination concerning match-control and educated the FFC, who thus researched and which brought about their disciplinary choice dated 29 January 2016.

PPCFC bid this choice direct to AFC on 26 May, as we felt this was out of line against our club. We have done all that we can to bolster the battle against debasement, deceiving and coordinate control, and we get a handle on this choice sends the wrong message to our own club and its supporters, to the entire of Cambodian football and to the more extensive universe of football.

The AFC affirmed on 27 May 2016 that their choice is last and PPCFC won't be admitted to the AFC Cup 2017 – Playoff Qualifiers.

PPCFC have taken legitimate guidance and we are setting up a bid against the choice of the Asian Football Confederation to The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Switzerland. CAS is an establishment free of any games association which accommodates administrations to encourage the settlement of games related debate through discretion or intervention by method for procedural standards adjusted to the particular needs of the games world.

PPCFC will put forth no further expression with respect to this progressing matter.
